esign1. Who we are
b9design (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides web design, application hosting, and cloud management services at b9design.co.za. Use of the service is also subject to our Terms of Service. For privacy questions, contact ludwig@b9design.co.za.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:
- Account details: name, email address, password hash, and profile image if you provide one.
- Service data: applications, databases, servers, domains, compose projects, backups, and related configuration you create in the dashboard.
- Billing data: subscription status, invoices, and payment references processed by our payment provider (Paystack). We do not store full card numbers.
- Connected accounts: if you connect GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Meta (Facebook), or similar providers, we receive identifiers and tokens needed to complete login or repository access.
- Usage and logs: sign-in activity, deployment logs, and technical diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service.
- Communications: messages you send us by email or through support channels.
3. How we use information
- Create and manage your account and authentication sessions.
- Deploy, host, and operate the applications and resources you request.
- Process subscriptions, invoices, and related billing events.
- Send transactional email (verification, password reset, billing notices).
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use Facebook or other social data for advertising audiences.
4. Sharing
We share data only when needed to run the service, including:
- Infrastructure and orchestration partners used to host your workloads.
- Payment processors for subscriptions and invoices.
- Git and identity providers you explicitly connect.
- Authorities when required by law.
5. Retention
We keep account and service data while your account is active. After a deletion request, we remove personal data from production systems within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or security purposes (for example, billing history). Backups are rotated on a limited schedule and then expire.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and session management. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data. To delete your data, follow the steps on our Data deletion page or email ludwig@b9design.co.za.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember theme preferences, and protect against abuse. These are required for the site to function.
9. Children
b9design is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
